Like all other said, most likely is the heat issue. Your diagnostic should be open up the back and look at the fan & vent, then try to clean it. If you are not comfortable w/ open the back then try gaming w/ the laptop on cooling pad or cooler environment (AC room) and see if the game play is much longer or stop the random shutdown behavior.

Really weird design. The only portable machine I have with a power key in the normal key matrix is my Pinebook. Probably the best strategy for avoiding accidentally hitting the power key, if it's on the top right corner of the numpad, would be learning proper touch typing, though - you would never use a key up there while touchtyping.
